Oh Heather, what a sweet baby! Congratulations! And thank you for your interesting blog entries about your life in Bastion; love reading them! Continuing to pray for you and with you!
This site is about the new life that I began February 8, 2008, when I arrived in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador to live for a year or so. I felt that this is where God wanted me at this time in my life, and now that I've been here almost 5 months, I have no doubt that this is the right place for me. I am now seeing what He had for me to do here, day by day. I'm working in the squatter community called Bastion Popular as a nurse to the children and families of the school "Hope of Bastion", and in the community. No 2 days are the same, and I never know what's next, and this has taught me 2 things at least - flexibility, and total dependance on God for wisdom, guidance and patience. I'm trying to keep this blog updated reasonably regularly as I progress through this new life.
